ONEPLUS may be the first and only manufacturer to switch high-frequency PWM. Including OPPO and True Self in ONEPLUS home, high-frequency PWM screens are dimmed with high-frequency PWM for low brightness by default (no switch). ONEPLUS Ace 2 not only has a switch, but also does not open by default. It even puts the entry in the developer's option (Vivo/iQOO puts the "DC like dimming" switch in the same position). The good news is that this is true high-frequency PWM, and there is no low-frequency PWM superimposed.
Even if the high frequency PWM function is turned on, the high brightness in ONEPLUS Ace 2 is a low frequency PWM dimming whose duty cycle will not be reduced, which affects the performance of eye care with medium and high brightness. At this time, it is not as good as many friends' eye care. So it protects the eyes with lower brightness than medium and low brightness, Surprise! For users with sensitive eyes, it is recommended to use with low brightness and save some electricity.
ONEPLUS said that switching the high-frequency PWM dimming is to save power. But at 90 nits, the dimming mode is switched. At this time, the brightness is dim under the indoor light. The background power consumption of the screen is much lower. How much power can high-frequency PWM consume? This reason can't withstand deliberation… Maybe it is to take care of the psychological feelings of the old flagship users?
Of course, on the other hand, is there more switches than others? Is there another choice? It seems to be earned (I can't make it up anymore).
Not every user is sensitive to low-frequency PWM. If you can't understand these terms and don't feel uncomfortable when playing with mobile phones, stop and don't go into it. Maybe after knowing the meaning of "low frequency PWM", it will become sensitive muscle, and there will be fewer mobile phones available from now on

Except that the high-frequency PWM dimming is not turned on by default, the medium-high brightness is still the low-frequency PWM dimming whose duty cycle will not be reduced. It is a little pity (users with sensitive eyes recommend going offline to see the real machine first). There are no other slots.
