The launch of Hongmi Note12 Exploration Edition further refreshed the wired fast charging power of the mobile phone to 210W, bringing the charging time of the mobile phone into a single digit era. Thanks to the gallium nitride technology, the 210W charger has the same volume as the traditional charger. It not only has the volume effectively controlled, high conversion efficiency, but also reduces the temperature of the charger.
Xiaomi's 210W charger model is MDY-13-EU. It supports 20V10.5A output specification and is compatible with 65W PD. It can also charge laptops, tablets and other Android phones. The following is the disassembly of this charger to see how the internal design of the charger refreshes the fast charging power.

First, use the cutting machine to cut the shell, and the PCBA module inside the charger is filled with glue to enhance the heat dissipation capacity, increase the heat capacity, and reduce the temperature rise during fast charging.
The charger is internally connected by wires, and the pin ends are crimped.

Clean up the potting compound. The lower left corner of the PCBA module is the power input terminal, welding fuse, varistor, thermistor, safety gauge X2 capacitor. At the bottom of the middle is the PFC boost inductor, and at the right of the boost inductor is the high-voltage filter capacitor, which is welded to the vertical small plate. Below the capacitor is a planar transformer. The upper right corner is the output filter capacitor, and the upper left corner is welded with USB-C bus base for output.
The rectifier bridge is welded on the right side of the back, the protocol chip is welded on the upper left corner, and the lower two optocouplers are used for PFC and flyback switching power supply control respectively. The lower left side is welded with PFC controller and flyback controller, and two nano GaN power chips.
Through observation on PCBA module, it is found that this 210W charger adopts PFC+QR flyback switching power supply architecture, synchronous rectification, and supports wide range voltage output. Among them, the PFC boost controller is from Silijie, the flyback controller is from Ansenmei, and the two GaN power chips are from Nanomicro.
